新セキュリティ技術をサポートした．目玉は次の通り：
(1)Kontiki Network Connector Supporting VeriSign AMS
(2)Kontiki Document Control Plug-in for Acrobat:
これにより、Kontikiの企業向けソフトウェアは、
企業向けのビデオ及び文書を全世界の利用者に対しての
自動配信を安全に行うことができるようになった．
Kontikiの先進的なセキュリティ・システムでは、
該当ビデオや文書を利用者のHDD上で暗号化し、
特定の許可なしではアクセスできないようにすることができる．
例えば許可がなければ文書を転送したり、
プリントアウトできないと言った風に．

MP3サポート．
Streamerは、UKのWarringtonにいるIain McLeod氏(39)が作成した．
自営のコンピューター・ゲーム・クリエイターだそうな．
PeerCastチームは、先進的なオンライン音楽配信技術というものに
ゴールを置いている．Goddbard氏曰く、「先進的なオンライン音楽配信技術を
規制する人々が、前進するインセンティブをもたないという現状がある
